Shop 'til You Drop

On December 15th and 16th twenty designers at the Brooklyn Indie Market will be donating 10-15% of their sales to the Brooklyn Bureau of Community Service and Bonna Bag is one of them! I will be selling at BIM on Sunday, December 16th from 12pm-6pm. So come finish up your holiday shopping knowing that you're not only supporting the starving artists of Brooklyn, but also a not-for-profit that's services range from job training and placement to mental health services and family support services. To learn more about the event check out the flyer: Shop 'til You Drop.

If you're a current student, alumna, or just happened to be in the Morningside Heights area, than come stop by Barnard Hall between 11am and 3pm to buy your Bonna Bag before the holidays (Chanukah starts that night!). The Barnard gates are on Broadway at 117th street.

Upcoming Vendor Fairs

I will be selling at the Brooklyn Indie Market again this Saturday, November 3rd from 11am to 7pm. And mark your calendars because I will also be selling there on Friday, November 23rd and Sunday, December 16th. I am in the process of looking into some other Brooklyn markets including Artists and Fleas. I will let you know more about that when I have the details sorted out. As a reminder the Brooklyn Indie Market is located on the corner of Union and Smith Street and is off the Carroll stop on the F train. Hope to see you soon!

Markets and Models

I had a great time at the Brooklyn Indie Market yesterday and plan to sell the bags there again some time soon. I'll let you know as soon as I figure out which dates I'll be there.

Here are some more photos from the last model photo shoot. These were taken by Danny Pickering.

Bags falling from the sky! Watch out!

Dancing Bag people

Ooo, they twirl!

This is a little girl we met while doing the photo shoot. We asked her parents if we could take some pictures of their adorable child. Little did we know she would be such a natural in front of the camera!

Bonna Bag in Soho

Here are some photos from my first adventure in the world of vendor fairs. I want to thank Lori and Samara for keeping me company! And thanks to those of you who stopped by to say hello! Stay tuned for Bonna Bags coming to a designer market near you. I'm hoping to sell at some fairs in Brooklyn, a little closer to home.

This little piggy goes to the Market...

I'm currently preparing to sell at my first vendor fair. I will have a table set up with a bunch of Bonna Bags on Sunday October 14th from 11am-7pm at The Market. So, if you'll be in NY you should definitely come check it out. The Market gives young designers a place to show and sell their stuff. It's located at 268 Mulberry street (between Prince and Houston). One way to get there is to take the F train to the 2nd Avenue stop. I hope to see you on Sunday! http://www.themarketnyc.com/flashmain.html

Models in the Park

Yesterday I finally got my act together and had a photo shoot for the jumbo and tiny totes! That means I now have model shots for etsy and will be adding the new sizes to etsy.com within the next couple of days. We also filmed a commercial yesterday that my friend Rebecca is going to edit. You'll be able to check out that commerical on this website by the end of December. Thank you to everyone who modeled for me! You are all gorgeous and were a pleasure to work with. Here are some of the photos:

New Photo Shoot Coming Soon

I want to thank all of you who are patiently waiting to purchase the new sizes and apologize for the fact that the jumbo and tiny totes are not on sale at etsy.com yet. I'm in the process of moving to Park Slope, Brooklyn and haven't had a chance to do a photo shoot yet. As soon as I take pictures of people modeling the new bags I will list them online for sale. I do have some still images of the jumbo and tiny totes to hold you over. There should be some fabulous new model shots very soon!

Bonna Bags now come in 3 sizes!!!

So, the jumbo and tiny tote styles are now done and should be available to sell by the beginning of September. Here are some photos to get you excited:

3 Styles= Jumbo tote, Flat tote, and Tiny tote
These are the handles for the jumbo totes. I dyed them and then the wonderful people at Enviro-Tote did the stitching to match.
Some jumbo totes hanging on the line.
On a tree near a lake...

For some reason I woke up at 5:30am the other day (don't ask me why) and caught this beautiful sunset on the lake.

Well, the production end of things is now complete and I am officially a sales person. I am so glad that I found Enviro-Tote because thanks to them this whole process went smoother than I could have imagined. No matter what crazy things I asked them to do for me they were more than willing to give it a try. Everyone at the factory was so friendly and enthusiastic about my project that it was a joy to drop off and pick up the bags. If you ever need to buy promotional tote bags I would highly recommend using Enviro-Tote.
