painting and selling

It has been a very busy week. I'm in the process of painting the next 200 bags (so far I've finished about 40) and I've started selling the flat totes at http://bonnabag.etsy.com

I'll be adding more bags to the etsy site soon so check back frequently. Here are some more photos of my lovely models for your enjoyment:

Lizzie is a Bonna Bag tree.

Liz is overjoyed about her Bonna Bag while Emily sulks about her non-Bonna bag's lack of pizazz.

Molly doesn't mind that her bike has no pedals because she is so thrilled to be carrying a Bonna Bag.

Bonna Bag Models

I would like to thank everyone who modeled bags for me this weekend!!! We did a photo shoot yesterday in downtown Brattleboro, VT. Now I have tons of images of people wearing Bonna bags while strolling down the street, buying groceries, perusing books, playing in the garden, and just hanging out with friends. When I post the bags on etsy.com buyers will be able to see photos of people wearing the bags and get a sense of size. Here is a preview of the shoot:

What you've all been waiting for...

I'd like to present the Bonna Bag flat tote!!!! The tote measures 13'' (w) x 14'' (h) and has a 5'' x 5'' pocket on the inside. The handles come in four different colors: black, green, yellow, and pink. Later in the summer I will also have a jumbo tote and tiny tote option. The bags are not online to purchase yet, but I thought you might want to see a few. I hope to have them ready to sell by the end of next week. Enjoy!

drop it like it's hot

The bags have now been dropped off at the factory. I drove to Bedford this morning and handed over the first 100. Here are some pictures of the factory. (Note: those are not bonna bags, but just examples of the types of canvas bags they make)

Hopefully I'll have some images of Bonna Bags (not just the panels) for your viewing pleasure on Friday!!

on a lake near a tree

So this is where I paint on a lake near a tree (well 'trees' really). I thought you might enjoy seeing photos of the lake from the island. I have now heat set the first 100 bags. I'm taking them to the factory on Monday the 9th and should get them back all sewn up on July 13th. I'll also be picking up the panels for the next 200 bags on the 13th. If all goes well I should have some bags ready to sell by the end of July. I'll keep you posted.
